Orel Property Group is a South African estate agency working across Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town. We sell homes, we let them, and we handle commercial premises and new developments for the people who own and occupy them. That is the whole of it. We are not a portal, we are not a franchise counting listings, and we are not interested in being the biggest agency in the country.

One agent owns your mandate from valuation to transfer. You will have their number, not a call centre's. We price from evidence rather than from what a seller wants to hear, and we would rather lose a listing than win it on a number we cannot defend. Every practitioner is registered with the PPRA and holds a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate.
Almost every property that sits unsold was priced wrong on day one. Photography, portals and open days cannot rescue a number that was never real. We would rather have the difficult conversation in week one than the humiliating one in month six.
Many of our sellers do not want a board on the pavement or their home circulating on social media. We respect that completely. But discretion never means withholding material facts from a buyer.
Rentals are treated in this industry as the junior business. We do not run it that way. The tenant in a managed property today is very often the buyer three years from now.
Anyone can open a door. The value of an agent shows up in the last two percent of a price and in the conditions attached to an offer — and that is the part we take most seriously.
